It was the Jackets' closing night. They would know their fate in getting to the playoffs that night. The guys came back to win, but missed the playoffs by one OTW that the Wild had. At the end of this game, the guys came back on the ice and gave their sweaters to fans. That was fun to watch. Also stayed after the game and the Wild game was on the big screen. We were all hoping for a loss for the WIld, but it didn't happen. Great game to a good season. Hopefully they'll keep the momentum during the summer and come back in the fall stronger than ever.

The atmosphere at Nationwide was terrific. Great crowd! With the win, the Jackets were looking at a chance to be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs pending the outcome of the Avs/Wild game. Fans were invited to stay to watch the final minutes of that game. Jackets didn't make the playoffs but with this team, there's always next year. Go Jackets!

The excitement in Nationwide was incredible, especially in the third period. A shame that they fell 1 point short, but the future looks very bright. Go Jackets!

Most drunks at sporting events are OK, but too often obnoxious drunks can greatly reduce the enjoyment of any event. In general things like pounding on the glass at hockey games bothers a lot of people. We had a guy in something called the meyers family jewelers box that is located between the two team benches. In it were 4 drunks and a kid. 3 of the drunks were OK, but the 4th was a piece of work. Screaming at the players on both teams, pounding on the glass; obstructing my wife's view of the event to such an extent she wanted to leave after the 2nd period. We stayed. The real kicker for this character was he was screaming at the little kids doing the shootout between periods and pounding on the glass; what a total lowlife. This nut should have been tossed from the game immediately, as should all these kinds of drunks; but it never seems to happen anymore. Gotta sell that extra 10 buck beer no matter what I suppose. I can guarantee we will never buy anything from meyers family jewelers, and maybe sponsors need to realize the people associated with things they sponsor reflect directly on them. The game itself was fantastic. Best game I have seen the Jackets play.
