Country bass crooner Josh Turner has one of the most recognizable – and deepest – voices in country music. With his fifth album, 2012’s Punching Bag, Turner added yet another entry to a string of chart-topping albums, achieving one of his biggest hits to date with single “Time Is Love.” As a child, Turner honed his unique voice singing bass in church choir quartets before heading to Nashville to pursue his passion – country music. His platinum-certified 2003 debut Long Black Train was an instant hit, rising to No. 3 on the country charts on the strength of its title track and lead single. Sophomore album Your Man would peak at No. 1 on the Country Albums chart, followed by 2007’s Everything is Fine and 2010’s Haywire, the latter featuring No. 1 hits “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “All Over Me.” Turner is known for putting on one of the most entertaining live concerts in country music, building anticipation among ticket buyers for his upcoming 2014 tour.

Sound was very disappointing...

The performers were great. Very personable on stage. However, the sound in the Civic Center was awful! So many people could not make out the words of Josh Turner. Everyone in our section complained about not being able to hear the words. Martina's sound was slightly better, but still very difficult to audibly hear all the words. Was disappointed with the sound, but still enjoyed the performance. Martina's encore was fabulous! It all goes to a great cause so all in all, worth it.

Seats were pretty good. This was the 2nd time I had seen him live. The sound system was not the greatest as the volume was turned up too much making the lyrics hard to comprehend. The video screen were poor as the images were not clear at all. The opening act was in my opinion horrible. Because of these problems I cannot rate this concert a 5, so it dropped down to a 4. Josh Turner is always great by himself. I was glad to find out when I got to the concert that it was being held for a great cause, hospice.

Martina is my favorite artist, she and her songs are both so beautiful, I would go anywhere I could to see her (I drove 120 miles from Atlanta to Columbus just to see her at this show) and I was totally enraptured by her every moment again at this concert. As usual, I didn't ever want it to end and hated to see her have to walk off the stage when it was over! Martina always gives all of herself at every show! Josh Turner's set was really cool too, but I am glad that the best (Martina) was saved for last! All in all a totally special and wonderful evening.

Fantastic night!
